Angola, here we come!

As you can see from our numerous posts lately, there is a lot happening right now. With 4 weeks until we leave, it feels like we are on `fit it all in before we leave` mode.

But, life will continue after JET, and we recently recieved word that we will be going to Angola for sure starting in mid-October for 6 weeks. A few days a go we received a package with prepreation materals, as well as a video of SIM activities in Angola, including the clinic Ben will be workin in. It`s very exciting to see what we can expect, especially after hoping to do this for so long; we started planning for that before we even applied for the JET program!

A bit off topic....
I JUST talked to Hannah who saw you at the beginning of your JET stint, in Tokoyo. She asked how you are doing. She got back from Japan just 2 days ago (Sunday.) She's registering for the Master's program for Tesol here at TWU. She's pretty impressed with your non-stop adventure plans.

Hey you surfers :)
Wow, I can't believe you guys are already on your way home in a month! I bet part of you feels like it has been a life time and the other part feels like it was just yesterday you were leaving. The trip to Angola sounds amazing, it will be such a great experience and a great learning one for Ben at the clinic. What do you get to help with Ben? I found out that in 3rd year we get to do a placement and work for a month or something whever we choose, I think I will be trying for South Africa for sure :) I have always wanted to go there and as a dentist, it would be truly worth it.
Well, we are in the midst of winter here and it's about 5 degrees in the am and then still warms up to about 20 during the days, so we can't complain really, that and the lack of rain is a blessing hehe
We will have to try surfing as well sometime over the years, see if I can get Rick out on one, water isn't necessarily his friend.
Take care you two and I guess we will see you soon!

Cheers,
Jen
